Our organization promotes the game of lacrosse, sportsmanship and teamwork. We welcome players of all abilities. Our goal is to teach the skills, along with training so they have an understanding of the game and develop a life long love for lacrosse!

Field Positions


  Two teams compete with 10 players on the field.


 Players fall into four categories:                                                        


  A  -  ATTACK  -  Offensive-minded players who possess great stick skills that allow them to shoot with precision and
            fake.  They use speed and agility to elude defenders. Attackers also endure punishing hits from
The attackman’s responsibility is to score goals and help his teammates score goals by p
assing the ball. The
            attackman generally restricts his play to the offensive end of the field.  Each 
team has three attackmen
            on the field during play.


  M  -  MIDFIELD  -  Always on the move, these players advance the ball up the field and play both offense
defense.  Help defenders and tally assists by taking the ball from defensive area to attackers. They are
            fast, durable, and stick savvy. Also called “middies” and their responsibility is to cover the entire 
            playing both offense and defense. The midfielder is a key to the transition game, and is often 
alled upon to
            clear the ball from defense to offense. Each team has three midfielders on the field.


  D  -  DEFENSE  -  Defenders use size, speed, strength, and skill to keep attackers from scoring. An aggressive
dset is beneficial, but playing under control and selecting the proper angle to prevent close range shots
            are more critical skills.  The defenseman’s responsibility is to defend the goal. The defenseman 
            restricts his play to the defensive end of the field. Each team has three defensemen on the


  G  -  GOALIE  -  Uses lightning-fast reflexes, quick decisions, and courage to stop a barrage of high-velocity
ts.  Body must handle punishment from the ball, and mind has to quickly recover from mistakes.
            The goalie directs the defense by calling for checks and relaying locations of the ball and attackers.
Each team has one goalie in the goal during play.
